 Free Basic Wooden Desk plans - Desks are easy. Prop up a large flat surface at the appropriate height, and you are done. Two sawhorse and a door usually does the trick-at least at first. If something a bit more sophisticated is required, you might try this design, which uses two cheap file cabinets as a base. For a little extra storage space, build a riser and stack some of the basic bookcases on top to build a secretary. A nice additional touch is to install a small fluoroscent light fixture inside the riser.
